As we revealed here on WWE Network News in our New Next Week on WWE Network article, the service had scheduled a new edition of First Look. This edition? It was to focus on NXT’s Greatest Matches Volume 1 which is scheduled for release.
For those unaware, First Look is a series that gives you a, you guessed it, first look at an upcoming DVD. The WWE Network has several already on their site and generally it focuses on content not already on the service. These often would air on Mondays after RAW.
This week, however, it was scheduled for Thursday before it mysteriously never aired. In addition to not airing, it was never added to the video-on-demand archives either. The service quietly had taken it down from the schedule previously.
As of now, the reasoning for this isn’t clear. However it stands to reason that it will still be shown eventually, and most likely next week. Is this a sign the service won’t have original content next week and bumped it to Monday to replace the recent episodes of Ride Along and the Edge and Christian Show? All we can do right now is ponder, but we will likely find out more when the schedule for next week is officially released.
