In what is strictly a rumor at this stage, and that needs to be emphasized: this is strictly a rumor, the WWE may have a WWE Network special this September. This time, the WWE Network special would be airing from the United Kingdom.
Announced on WWE’s United Kingdom Twitter account, the WWE will be coming to The O2 Arena in London, England on September 7th of this year. The event is being called “WWE Live In London” and the event is being billed as a special one-night only event.
This doesn’t mean it is a live special by any means, however the wording certainly makes it sound like such. Previous specials have taken place in Japan, Madison Square Garden, and this weekend’s Roadblock will be taking place in Toronto, Canada. Many speculated that the majority of these shows would be from special arenas and different countries that normally don’t benefit from having a pay-per-view, so that certainly fits in line here.
Again, it needs to be stressed that this event is not yet being promoted as a WWE Network special and thus far no sources have confirmed it. With that being said, Wednesday the 7th certainly could be an interesting night if that is the case.
