The WWE Network aired their latest event WWE Battleground 2016 tonight, Sunday July 24th. We will have a review of the event later on here at WWE Network News but for now here are quick Battleground results:
Battleground Kickoff
1. Breezango defeated The Usos by pinfall when Tyler Breeze put up his knees during a splash and rolled Uso up for the win.
Battleground
1. Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Charlotte and Dana Brooke by submission when Sasha Banks made Charlotte submit to the Banks Statement.
2. The Wyatt Family defeated New Day by pinfall after a Sister Abigail to Xavier Woods. Big E took a nasty fall on his head in the closing minute of the match.
3. Rusev defeated Zack Ryder by submission with the Accolade. After, Mojo Rawley made his main roster debut saving Zack from further beatings.
4. Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens by pinfall following two Helluva Kicks.
5. Natalya defeated Becky Lynch by submission with a Sharpshooter.
6. The Miz retained his Intercontinental Championship when the match with Darren Young was ruled a no contest due to chaos with Maryse and Bob Backlund.
7. John Cena, Enzo Amore, and Big Cass defeated The Club by pinfall after John Cena hit AJ Styles with a Super Attitude Adjustment.
Randy Orton returned on the Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho, hitting an RKO on Chris after taking a shot at Brock Lesnar’s drug test failure.
8. Dean Ambrose defeated Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins by pinfall after a Dirty Deeds on Roman Reigns to retain the WWE Championship.
