The WWE Network aired their latest event WWE Summerslam 2016 tonight, Sunday August 21st. We will have a review of the event later on here at WWE Network News but for now here are quick Summerslam results:
Summerslam Kickoff
1. The Usos, American Alpha, and The Hype Bros defeated The Vaudevillains, Breezango, and The Ascension by pinfall when Uso tagged himself in and hit a splash following Grand Amplitude.
2. Neville and Sami Zayn defeated the Dudleys by pinfall after a Helluva Kick followed by the Red Arrow. More miscommunication between the Dudleys contributed to the finish.
3. Sheamus defeated Cesaro by pinfall with a Brogue Kick after Cesaro hitting the turnbuckle shoulder first.
Summerslam
1. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens defeated Enzo Amore and Big Cass by pinfall with a Pop-Up Codebreaker.
2. Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks by pinfall reversing the Banks Statement to win the WWE Women’s Championship.
3. The Miz defeated Apollo Crews by pinfall following a Skullcrushing Finale to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
4. AJ Styles defeated John Cena by pinfall after a Phenomenal Forearm.
5. The Club defeated The New Day by disqualification when Big E returned to save celebrity guest Jon Stewart from ring post-itis. The New Day retain the WWE Tag Team Titles as a result of the DQ.
6. Dean Ambrose defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall following a Dirty Deeds to retain the WWE Championship.
7. Nikki Bella, Natalya, and Alexa Bliss defeated Carmella, Becky Lynch, and Naomi by pinfall after a TKO from Nikki Bella. Eva Marie’s entrance began prior to the start of the match once again, but she’s unable to compete due to the stress caused by the WWE Universe.
8. Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins by pinfall to win the WWE Universal Championship.
Rusev and Roman Reigns never started due to a brawl between the two with Roman using a chair.
9. Brock Lesnar defeated Randy Orton by TKO after leaving Orton a bloody mess. He proceeded to F-5 Shane McMahon to close the show.
