Every week WWE Superstars is presented on the WWE Network, usually being added around 3 PM EST. I am a fan and watch the show religiously so why not share some thoughts and insight, especially for those who may not keep up with it and want to know what they’re missing, or conversely, those who do and want to see what others may think?
This week’s Superstars once again will only feature RAW talent. This means that we will likely see the same few guys even more often. However, that doesn’t mean the show can’t be fun. Additionally, we have the now usual team of Tom Phillips and Corey Graves on commentary, who make for a good pair as their NXT work shows. Let’s see how the show was:
Curtis Axel vs. Sin Cara

This was pretty fun! I wasn’t expecting much, and it wasn’t exactly must see, but it was good. Sin Cara worked hard here, and hit a nice dive. Meanwhile, Axel did fine in the heel role as well. I don’t see Axel having matches like he did with Kidd again, but still, this was fun enough.
Sin Cara’s new music and entrance was interesting. While I’ll miss the trampoline entrance, I can’t say I’ll miss Sin Cara’s solo theme. I always thought that was a weird decision. It was slow and nothing to excite fans. This isn’t a great theme, but it is an improvement nonetheless. Sin Cara wins with the Dragon Bomb.
Winner: Sin Cara
After Cara celebrates, we get two highlights from RAW. One was the awful Rusev/Roman Reigns segment, so I’ll just ignore that. The other was the great Heath Slater/Brock Lesnar segment. Heath has been great since the brand extension and honestly one of the highlights of both RAW and Smackdown each time he appears.
Jack Swagger vs. Bo Dallas

Jack Swagger is a Superstars workhorse and he delivered here too. And I don’t just mean a stiff clothesline, which was awesome by the way. But he delivers in the ring. He really has taken the Zack Ryder and Chris Masters route of being a guy who just delivers on the B/C shows and he is a joy to watch. Some people will never see it, but hey, the option is there.
This was also one of Bo’s better matches. Bo isn’t exactly known to be a workhorse, and he is all about his personality, but his work here was tight and his selling was really good. Ultimately, Jack Swagger wins with the Patriot Lock, but the match was competitive and a good one.
Winner: Jack Swagger
After Jack Swagger celebrates, we get a look at the Seth Rollins and Finn Balor segment from RAW. I’ve seen a lot of debate about Finn showing the demon before the special event, but I don’t hate it. I think it was a good way of getting fans excited for the event.

Closing Thoughts
I apologize for the late post, but as I’ve mentioned before, personal life has taken its toll as of late. Regardless, this was a decent episode of Superstars. Neither match was great, but both were fun and served their purpose. Superstars isn’t for everybody, but I personally enjoy it. You might want to skip the recap though.
