The WWE Network continues to stay true to Joey Styles’ word as they keep on marching towards a complete ECW TV archive. As has been the norm since these gaps began to be filled, the quality of the latest pair (as of this writing) of episodes varies greatly. This falls in line with previous rumours that certain ECW tapes were water damaged and WWE may well have struggled to make them watchable.
Nonetheless, the fact that the historic debut episode of what would become “Hardcore TV” is on the WWE Network is a big moment. A big moment that many subscribers thought would never come. Now, subscribers can only hope that every episode will emerge from the WWE video library over time.
To those wondering if this is the next content drop, that seems unlikely as there are only 39 episodes left to complete Hardcore TV. So, unless we also get some of the missing supercards, it really wouldn’t measure up to the usual drop totals. It seems more likely to be a long term completion project.
