One of the biggest gripes fans and journalists alike have had with the WWE Network is how often they poorly advertise classic content. While it has improved with more WWE.com and social media focus, advertisements on TV are usually still lacking. However recently, they’ve begun to advertise it a bit more.
The most notable example of this is likely from WWE Backlash last week and then from RAW and Smackdown the following days. The service used The Rock as the focus of the commercial, hyping “over 360 Rock Bottoms”. This obviously plugs both the service and past content all at once.

During RAW this week, the WWE did it again. While advertising the WWE Network, the ad of focused on WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. While “every match” might not be quite accurate, the bulk of his run in the WWE is available to be seen either in the Vault section, the pay-per-view section or in the in-ring archives.
