As we approach three years since the WWE Network launched, come February, the service still lacks some key features. One of the most surprising features still not implemented is an official Recently Added section. Early on in the WWE Network’s infancy it wasn’t surprising this feature wasn’t added as content may not have been added regularly enough to justify it. However, for a year now the service has added two years of a program or more every month in addition to the regular content we see week to week. While we see ten or so pieces of content each week guaranteed, thanks to classic content and original content, this can be as high as thirty, forty, or even fifty-plus shows added in the course of seven days.
Of course, a section like this wouldn’t be difficult to implement. It could follow the same exact format as the Most Popular tab. The twenty most recent uploads in order. So why doesn’t the WWE do it? This could be for any number of reasons. Maybe they feel like people don’t care enough to see what’s new or that those who do will look elsewhere such as this very website to find out what’s been added. Maybe they are waiting for a major UI update to implement it. Regardless, many people have asked for this feature and I suspect many more will continue to.
