As we’ve previously reported, WWE Tribute To The Troops has been re-added to the WWE Network and in some cases, added to the service for the first time. Instead of having a section again, however, they were added as part of a new WWE Network collection. It features every edition, including the original versions that took place during Smackdown and RAW along with the later special events.
The unfortunate issue is that the new episodes added have an expiration date and are not set to be permanent WWE Network additions. Instead, they will likely join a fairly long list of content removal that is sure to upset some fans. Interestingly, the WWE has not revealed that the content is temporary, however.
In an email the WWE sent promoting the collection, they hyped up an upcoming Tribute To The Troops set to air on the USA Network on December 14th, along with the thirteen episodes in the collection. No mention of the collection being temporary was included. It is possible they eventually make this public, or perhaps they could change the dates on the items so they don’t expire. There is also the chance they simply are moved to a new category, however as of now it is expected that these episodes will indeed leave come the end of January. If you want these items to remain on the service, be sure to let the WWE know via social media.
