Every Friday, WWE Superstars is aired on the WWE Network, at 8pm UK time and 3PM EST. And while its not a must watch show on the Network, it is entertaining and good if you want to catch up on the major going on’s on RAW. Once again the commentary team is the duo of Tom Phillips and Corey Graves.
Match 1-Sin Cara vs Jinder Mahal.
This week’s episode of WWE Superstars kicked off with Sin Cara taking on Jinder Mahal. After a few weeks of mostly the same superstars on the show, its refreshing to see Sin Cara back on the show. Its also refreshing to see Mahal take on someone different. Could Mahal keep the momentum from his victory last week over Darren Young?
This was a good match. Both guys kept it entertaining and as Mahal won his match last week, it had a little bit of story on if he could pick up another upset win. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t get the job done and Sin Cara came away with the win after hitting the senton from the top rope to end an entertaining match. Sin Cara picks up a non-Cruiserweight division win.
Winner-Sin Cara.
After our opening match we saw a video package of the Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar match from Survivor Series in which Goldberg picked up an easy win in just over a minute. Then we got a look back at RAW as Goldberg announced that he is going to be in the Royal Rumbel match in January. We then got a look back at the tag team title match on RAW as The New Day cheated Cearso and Sheamus out of the win. Lots of recap, but mostly kept relatively short.
Match 2-Curtis Axel vs Bo Dallas.
The main event of this week’s WWE Superstars saw the former Social Outcasts Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas going one on one. This comes after a few weeks ago on RAW Dallas attacked Axel. They’ve also had several promos on the RAW Pre-Show building up their mini-feud.
This was a great match. Unlike most match on WWE Superstars it had a story behind it, two friends turned enemies. It had many near falls and both guys were great. In the end Dallas came away with the win hitting Axel with the Rolling Cutter. Is that the end of their story?
Winner-Bo Dallas.
To close this week’s episode of WWE Superstars we got our last look back at RAW as WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens defended the title against the man who has had so many title shots its kind of getting stupid now, Seth Rollins, in a No DQ match. Owens won the match after Jericho hid in the crowd in a Sin Cara mask and attacked Rollins. This led to Owens getting the upper hand and scoring the win.
Closing Thoughts
This was a great episode of WWE Superstars. In fact, it was one of the best in a while. With a good match opening the show, and a great main event of Axel vs Dallas along with good RAW recap this is definitely a show worth checking out. A strong edition of the show.
