In an interesting move, WWE Superstars has been taken off the WWE Network schedule and is not set to air this week. Additionally, according to fan reports Main Event was taped using RAW superstars prior to RAW itself. Main Event usually features Smackdown stars and is taped prior to Smackdown Live. This has created a lot of speculation and confusion over the future for both Superstars and Main Event.
With 205 Live premiering following Smackdown next week, many are speculating that Superstars is being discontinued. This is unconfirmed, and Superstars could always just be off for the week. However, if Superstars is indeed discontinued this would make Main Event and 205 Live the “B” shows. If this is the case then both Main Event and 205 Live will be RAW branded shows with the Cruiserweight division featuring RAW superstars and Main Event using RAW superstars this week.
So what will happen? Will RAW have two “B shows? Will Main Event go back to featuring Smackdown superstars next week? Will Superstars actually be discontinued or is it a one week story? We’ll be sure to update everyone if we find out anything official.
