Every Tuesday, WWE 205 Live is aired on the WWE Network, at 10 PM EST and 3 AM GMT. The show exclusively features the Cruiserweight division, and as a result talent must weigh in at 205 pounds or less. The Cruiserweights are still part of the RAW brand in addition to appearing here. The commentary team consists of RAW’s Corey Graves, Smackdown and the CWC’s Mauro Ranallo, and NXT’s Austin Aries.
This week’s episode of WWE 205 Live started with a recap of last week’s Cruiserweight Championship rematch as champ Rich Swann defended his championship against former champ The Brian Kendrick. The main event last saw Rich Swann, Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins get into a brawl which left Brian Kendrick the last man standing. At WWE Roadblock: End of the Line the Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line in a triple threat between these three men. But what will happen tonight?
Match 1-Jack Gallagher Vs Drew Gulak.

The first match on this episode of 205 Live saw “The Extraordinary Gentleman” Jack Gallagher take on Drew Gulak. For the past several weeks Gallagher has been feuding with Ariya Daivarim including interfering in Daivari’s match the night before on RAW. Drew Gulak often teams with another 205 Live competitor, Tony Nese.
These two had a good fun match. Notably, a quality part featured a fun pinning sequence half way through and Gallagher continuing to be entertaining in the ring. The match was good, but it was possibly the weakest match on 205 Live yet. Despite that, it was still entertaining. Gallagher caught Gulak with the corner dropkick for the win.
Winner-Jack Gallagher.
After our opening match we got a look backstage as Cruiserweight champ Rich Swann confronted his opponent for the main event tonight TJ Perkins. They build up their match for tonight and the triple threat at Roadblock. Perkins said the next time he kicks him in the face it won’t be an accident. After that segment we got a 205 coming soon video for Tajiri, who we be returning to WWE full time next year. Next Jack Gallagher was being interviewed backstage when he was interrupted by his rival Daivari. Gallagher offered to let bygones be bygones and move on, but Daivari refused and berated Gallagher for embarrassing him.
Match 2-Lince Dorado Vs Mustafa Ali.

The second match on this week’s 205 Live saw the debut of both Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali on the show. During Dorado’s entrance a video interview came up of him saying he is going to bring excitement and energy to 205 Live and that he is going to lead the way. Ali also had a video interview, with him saying he is not going to be defined by our ignorance and on 205 Live he’s going to show us what Mustafa Ali is all about.
This was a good match with two great competitors who both showcased great in ring skills. I see both becoming Cruiserweight Champion in the future. A highlight of the match has to be Dorado’s handspring stunner. Dorado caught Ali with a hurricanrana from the apron to the outside of the ring, Dorado then landed the Asai moonsault from the apron on Ali however his head smacked against the entrance ramp. Both man were down for the ref’s count and Ali just missed the ten count so both men were counted out in the end.
Winner-Draw.
After the match, Ali complained to the ref. Dorado offered Ali a handshake but Ali punched him instead. He then went to throw Dorado out of the ring but Dorado reversed it and sent Ali out instead. A new feud, perhaps? After that, we got a look backstage as Cedric Alexander’s girlfriend Alicia Fox, who was walking backstage before being stopped by Noam Dar . Dar, who defeated Cedric last week and dedicated his victory to Fox, talked about their “relationship”, building up a possible betrayal by Fox on Cedric.
Main Event- Rich Swann Vs TJ Perkins.

The main event on this week’s episode of 205 Live saw Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann taking on one of his challengers at Roadblock, TJ Perkins. Just before these two started the match, The Brian Kendrick came out and joined the announce team for the match. Will he get himself involved in the action or is he just scouting his future opponents?
This was a great main event and build up to the triple threat at Roadblock. Kendrick was great on commentary and both Swann and Perkins were great in the ring. In the end, TJ locked in a knee bar to make the champ tap out. After the match, Kendrick came down to the ring. He offered Swann a handshake but Swann refused. He then went to offer Perkins and handshake just to be met with a super kick. Perkins then teased hitting Swann with a super kick but instead said he could have had him right there. And that wraps up the episode!
Winner-TJ Perkins.
Closing Thoughts
This was a good episode of 205 Live. With three story lines developing and possibly one starting, the show is continuing to evolve. I’ve heard some complaints about the show online but given time I think this could become one of WWE’s must watch shows. It continues to impress.
