After a WWE Smackdown episode from 2008 appeared on the WWE Network, it seemed likely that the classic content drop for January would be 2008 and 2009 Smackdown, and with more 2008 episodes appearing today that is further reinforced. As of the release of this article, only three episodes have been added however they are fairly interesting as they’re either on the road to Wrestlemania or the fallout from Wrestlemania.
In fact, one episode even features The Undertaker in the Smackdown main event as he takes on Festus, which is a match up many feel is overlooked.
