Hey guys, Kev here covering this week’s edition of 205 Live, coming from Seattle, Washington, so let’s get to it. Kicking us off is a promo of tonight’s fatal 5 way elimination match. Mauro Ranallo, Corey Graves and Austin Aries on commentary, who reveal that due to injury, Tony Nese will no longer be competing in the main event, and that a contest between Ariya Daivari and Mustafa Ali will decide who enters the main event. Here we go:

Ariya Daivari VS Mustafa Ali
As discussed above, the winner of this opener enters the main event this evening, so there was a lot at stake in this one, and in my opinion, what a contest it was. The match kicked off at a fast pace with some nice action straight away, which quickly went in the favour of Daivari who took over for a while. Ali can certainly move in the ring, his agility is amazing, he shows it each and every time. As already said, Daivari had the upper hand for a while, as the typical heel does, and Daivari is good as playing the heel. Nice back and forth stuff here as both men were looking to main even tonight’s show. Daivari looked to have had the match won with a very convincing near fall following a Lariat, however, Ali kicked out, and managed to turn the match around when he gained the upper hand and finished Daivari off with his Inverted 450. A great opener that sees Mustafa Ali advance to tonight’s main event, well done to Mustafa Ali. Also, his finisher is brilliant, he executes it beautifully.

Up next we were treated to a package of Gran Metalik Cruiserweight Classic highlights for his upcoming 205 Live arrival, which turns out to be next week. How great is that?! Metalik was outstanding in the Classic, and it will be great to have him bring his talent to 205.
Lince Dorado VS Brian Kendrick
Before the match kicks off, Brian Kendrick claims to be 205 Live’s gatekeeper, meaning that he snuffs out the dreams of everyone, whether it be young stars, or legends, namely Tajiri. However, he sees a lot of potential for newcomer Akira Tozawa to become his protege. I feel that Kendrick’s mic work is underrated, people don’t really talk about it, but I think he does great on the mic. On to the match itself: Again just like the opener, this one started off at a fast pace with both guys getting in some decent offence, however it was Lince Dorado that got off to the better start with more momentum. But as usual, and furthermore the way it should be, the heel Kendrick turned the momentum around and played with the crowd well like the typical heel he is, and he does a great job of it. There was plenty of trading of offence between both stars which made for a brilliant contest. In my opinion it would be nice and well deserved it Lince Dorado can find his way into getting a shot at the Cruiserweight Title down the line at some point, I hope so anyway. Dorado got an excellent near fall on Kendrick when he landed the Handspring Stunner for the two count. However it wasn’t enough, and Kendrick switched it around quickly and managed to submit Dorado fairly quickly with his Captain’s Hook. Another ‘W’ for The Brian Kendrick, who is on a bit of a roll at the moment. Well done to both men for their great showing.

Following the match was one of Austin Aries’ superb exclusive one to one interviews, in which he questions Kendrick on his change of heart when it comes to Akira Tozawa. But before Kendrick can answer, the music of none other than Tajiri hits, and he is waiting behind Kendrick to strike, spitting the mist into Kendrick’s face to make his statement. What a way to mark your return, and no doubt these two will be wrestling sooner rather than later, I can’t wait to watch!
Backstage, Champion Neville claims that it makes no difference who walks out of the main event as the next challenger, tonight is only about the chance to stand across the ring from The King, and that they will still be Neville’s inferior. Whoever wins will have no choice but to bow down to the King Of The Cruiserweights. No one can deny that since his awesome heel turn, that Neville’s mic work has been outstanding, he speaks with such intensity now and it is great stuff. Now onto the main event, this one is gonna be sweet..
Noam Dar VS Jack Gallagher VS Cedrick Alexander VS TJ Perkins VS Mustafa Ali – Fatal 5-Way #1 Contender’s Elimination Match
Noam Dar starts off bad mouthing all four of the other challengers, only to be bullied out of the ring, leaving the four guys to get to the battling. Excellent stuff right away as expected, it was gonna be on fire from the start. These guys can certainly move, and it showed here, as it always does. All five men got in a fair amount of offence, all went back and forth. Quite early on in the contest there was a great spot when Jack Gallagher performed a Top Rope Plunge onto every man on the outside, with none other than William The Third (his umbrella) in his hand. It made for a great spot which the crowd loved.
Speaking of the crowd, they were hot for this main event, they were eating it up and it was awesome. After thinking he had the better of it, Noam Dar was too busy playing the crowd when he found himself eliminated following the Lumbar Check from Cedrick Alexander. Down to 4.
Following that, Alexander was on fire with offense, however he was unfairly eliminated with the Detonation Kick from TJ Perkins. It wasn’t the elimination that was unfair, it was the already eliminated Dar’s interference costing Alexander. Great story though as it probably means their rivalry will get hotter and continue, great job. Down to 3.
As said before, the fans are great through this. Another awesome spot happened, when Mustafa Ali performed a Top Rope Cross Body onto TJP, who was on Jack Gallagher’s shoulders. However, Ali was eliminated when after a failed Inverted 450 attempt, he found himself trapped and tapping out to a Cross Armbar from TJP. Final 2.
This was anyone’s contest now. Gallagher looked to have had this match over when he landed his trademark Headbutt for a great two count. ‘This Is Awesome’ chants broke out from the crowd who were loving this. Finally the match came to a close when Gallagher hit another Headbutt followed by his Corner Dropkick to get the pinfall on Perkins and state his claim as the next challenger. Out came Champion Neville staring down Jack Gallagher to end the show. This was awesome indeed, superb job by all five stars.

An excellent show here, three brilliant contests, the main event being the show stealer, stories told, a new challenger found, and we can move onto next week and see what it brings. Neville VS Jack Gallagher will now happen at Fastlane, which is sure to be a superb contest. Tajiri is back and gunning for Brian Kendrick, so things are heating up.
