For those unaware, George “The Animal” Steele recently passed away. Unfortunately, the wrestling world wasn’t able to grieve for long before we were all hit with the one-two punch of Ivan Koloff losing a battle with cancer. Well, it seems that WWE haven’t finished playing tribute to the class of 1995 Hall of Famer.
Per WWE.com, Steele will be recieving his own WWE Network collection, set to be added this coming Friday, February 24th at 10 AM EST. There was a hint at this collection coming when the “In Memory” graphic at the start of yesterday’s Raw looked very similar to the thumbnails used for these playlists. Of course, that’s all just conjecture from yours truly.
As it stands, there’s no word yet on what will be included in this celebration of a legend’s career, but it seems safe to assume that The Animal’s feud with Randy Savage will be included, potentially alongside some gems from his earlier run as a monster heel. Of course, remember to keep checking WWE Network News, as we’ll be sure to tell you as soon as we have more concrete information.
