So, if you’ll excuse me for a moment, this is going to be me (Jon Potter) speaking as an individual and not under the umbrella of the site. If you just come here for news and have no interest in reading my explanation for the site’s situation, you have my complete blessing to leave.
However, there has been a minority starting to wonder exactly what’s going on with WWE Network News. Some have suggested we’re slacking at times, while others have gone so far as to ask if the website is preparing to close down. Well, the short answer to that question is “absolutely not”. In fact, there are plans currently in place to push the site on even further in the coming months.
However, the more eagle-eyed of you out there may have noticed that Steve Coulson hasn’t posted anything in over a month. Out of respect for privacy, I won’t go into details. Suffice it to say that Steve chose to leave suddenly. He’s unlikely to return unless he ever chooses to do so. Considering he was the other main editor for this place, that’s left me as the main writer, only editor, in control of the site’s social media and numerous other duties that can arise. Don’t get me wrong, I love this “job”, but it’s not glamourous at all.
Put simply, I will continue to churn out content both under my own name and as the editor for the great writers who choose to contribute here. WWE Network News isn’t going anywhere!
