As if the hype wasn’t building for the UK-based WWE Network show already, it seems that WWE is pulling out all the stops. Including putting a legendary voice at the helm. According to JR’s latest blog, the Oklahoma native is set to return to the commentary desk alongside Nigel McGuinness. Ross wrote the following:
I’m excited to announce that I will join the talented Nigel McGuinness to broadcast the recently taped, WWE matches from Norwich, England and these bouts will air on the WWE Network soon. Happy for this opportunity to call bouts involing [sic] new wrestlers, for me, and a new broadcast partner which freshens up all facets of the process. Stay tuned as to when these specials will be broadcast on the WWE Network which is still the best value in the land for only $9.99 per month.
WWE has other bookings for me as well and we will announce them when they are completely finalized. So, “Business is Picking Up!” I am happy to say.
Besides the news of Jim Ross’ return, this announcement also seems to hint at this pair of tapings being broadcast as standalone specials. Considering Triple H’s past comments referring to this as a logistically difficult project, it could well be a case of this being just one more step towards a weekly series in the future. Hopefully, more details will come to light during the shows themselves.
