In an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Jim Ross confirmed speculation that he’ll be calling the tapings for the WWE Women’s Tournament that’s set to take place this summer. No word yet on who the Hall of Famer’s commentary partner will be. This follows a rash of commentary work for good ol’ JR since his official return to WWE at WrestleMania 33. The Oklahoma native’s return was speculated to be a power play against ITV’s potentially-abandoned World of Sports relaunch.
In other news, WWE Network has confirmed a new on-demand show set to land on Tuesday, May 23rd. Thanks to Reddit user SethFreakinRollins for the image above. The premiere has come to light due to advertisements running in-between programming. WWE have been promoting upcoming content in this manner more frequently recently, often ahead of updating the weekly schedule.
Not much is known about the content other than the fact that it’s obviously tied into the recent Final Fantasy XIV Online sponsorship.
