[UPDATED] WWE Network Adds Two New Old School MSG Cards; More to Come Today?

This month has been interesting, huh? First, we got a surprising cluster of Old School live events to WWE Network. Then the uploads went completely quiet. Following that, we exclusively revealed that WWE is prepping the ECW relaunch for upload to their Network.

This, of course, led people to wonder if we’d get more Old School events. Would the previous 5 be nothing but a teaser? Well, it seems that WWE isn’t done quite yet as they’ve added another pair of Madison Square Garden events from 11/23/1981 and 12/28/1982.

So, what exactly is going on? Given all of the information I have at hand, my best guess is that these Old School cards are a smaller, secondary drop. After all, these shows are coming in small, infrequent drops. They’re unlikely to make up much of a grand total of hours. As it stands, we still don’t even have enough to fill the 10 slots of the monthly New Classic Content collection.

Meanwhile, the WWECW drop that I’ve seen evidence of will run from mid-2006 to the end of 2007. Not the full two years that has been the standard for every drop except the odd Tuesday Night Titans situation last month. Something is brewing, and WWE still has another week to show their hand if they wish.
