Right as the first SNME since 2008 is about to happen in one and a half weeks, WWE already announced their second edition of their quarterly Saturday special.
WWE announced the second SNME event to happen on January 25th from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. Tickets for that event will go on sale on December 13th, with a pre-sale on December 11th. Just like thee first SNME, the second episode will air live on NBC with a simulcast on Peacock.
Since the first SNME announcement, a lot of non-US WWE fans have asked what will happen with SNME’s availability. Although the first point of assumption would be WWE Network (especially as it’s right at its last month for the majority of the world), no promotional material had declared that WWE Network would carry the SNME specials internationally. They did mention Peacock as simulcast, but not WWE Network or any other platform internationally.
However, this week, a lot of that confusion has cleared up. Most territories that have a TV deal with WWE will air SNME on their channel and/or platform (ProSiebenMAXX and Joyn in Germany, AB1/ABXplore in France and Belgium for example). Territories without a TV deal, much like Raw and SmackDown, will have SNME air live on YouTube. Some territories that do have a local deal, like Australia and the UK, still go that route weirdly enough while other territories didn’t mention anything as of this writing. It’s a messy situation, but at this point it’s easier to assume, if you don’t live in the US, that YouTube will carry the first SNME in most areas (subject to change, of course) while future SNME editions will go to Netflix starting January 25th. If you’re still confused on what platform you actually can watch SNME on, check your local/national WWE account for any localized announcements.
