With Raw’s Netflix debut right around the corner, WWE isn’t yet done with preparing their programming for the streaming service. As of today, five new shows have been added to Netflix’s programming slate to release on January 1st, even in the United States.
The five shows are “WWE Top 10”, “WWE Road to WrestleMania”, “WWE Raw Classics”, “WWE Legends Profiles” and “WWE Superstar Profiles”. Four of the five are more focussed on older content as they likely chronicle a Superstars career or top moments from WWE Raw or WWE as a whole.
WWE Road to WrestleMania is more of a curious case as it can either recap previous roads to WrestleMania or, more likely, be a hub for Raw episodes (and maybe SmackDown episodes outside of the US) airing in Europe in March separate from the US-based episodes of Raw that happen normally. Otherwise, it could air shows from the Road to WrestleMania tour that normally aren’t aired. WWE has aired house shows in the past when they had the WWE Network in every part of the world, so it is a possibility that that approach could be taken as well.
Below are the synopses and pictures for all five shows:
WWE Top 10:
“Monday Night Raw hosts some of the biggest and best matches in WWE history, featuring Superstars John Cena, Triple H, Becky Lynch and more.”
WWE Raw Classics:
“Big E hosts this collection of most-see Raw matches and moments, featuring WWE Superstars and Legends including CM Punk, Becky Lynch and Triple H.”
WWE Road to WrestleMania:
“The Road to WrestleMania goes through Raw, where WWE’s top Superstars raise the stakes in must-see matches and thrilling moments.”
WWE Superstar Profiles:
“WWE Superstars steep inside the squared circle in pursuit of championships and glory in front of the WWE Universe.”
WWE Legends Profiles:
“Legendary Superstars of WWE make history with unforgettable matches and moments inside the squared circle.”
All five shows are listed to release on January 1st and will be available in the United States as well. However, in some cases (notably Road to WrestleMania), it might happen that there will be no one episode will release on January 1st, but instead provide more information for the Road to WrestleMania tour broadcasts on Netflix.
