WWE Raw is the company’s true flagship weekly programme that has persevered uninterrupted on television for an astronomical 32 years. But now, it is taking perhaps the boldest step in its entire storied history. From January 6th, 2025, Raw will become the exclusive global live property of Netflix for the foreseeable future. Because of this game-changing shift in WWE’s presentation, we here at WWE Network News are now able to cover the “A show” as a streaming first-run programme. Just as we did for every live event that the fading WWE Network offered for a decade. We look forward to bringing you the results and major happenings of Raw at a time when its importance and potential for surprises has never been higher.
This episode is the first episode to air on Netflix officially in most countries. After 32 years of being on traditional US television, the broadcasts moved to the biggest streaming platform in the world, with this episode being treated as a Premium Live Event. With this move, we will start coverage of (almost) all in-ring WWE shows!

- Tribal Combat: Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa by pinfall from Spear.
- Women’s World Championship: Rhea Ripley defeated Judgement Day’s Liv Morgan (c) by pinfall by Riptide to become the new champion.
- Jey Uso defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall by a crucifix hold.
- CM Punk defeated Seth “Freakin’” Rollins by pinfall by Go to Sleep.

- This is the first episode to air live on Netflix in most countries worldwide.
- This episode introduced a new graphics package going forward.
- Triple H narrated the cold open and introduced the Netflix viewers in the ring to Monday Night Raw.
- The Rock opened the episode to thank some people at Netflix, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
- Paul Heyman introduced Roman Reigns for his match.

- Gabriel Iglesias, Ashton Kutcher, Michael Che, Wale, Rey Mysterio, World Tag Team Champions War Raiders, LA Knight, Logan Paul, Seth Green, Macaulay Culkin, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Danielle Fishel, Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Brlair/Naomi, X-Pac, US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, Bill Simmons, Netflix execs, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle McCook, Damage Ctrl, Lyra Valkyria, Richard Gatt, Stephen Amell, IC Champion Bron Breakker, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, Nikki Bella, Stephanie McMahon were seen in the crowd.
- John Cena came out to start off his Farewell Tour to thank the Los Angeles crowd and pondered about future opponents and didn’t see himself win a World Title because he hasn’t won a match in 2446 days. He then inserted himself into the Royal Rumble.
- Logan Paul had a vignette where he announced he will be a full time superstar
- Dominik Mysterio tried to make up with Rhea after her title win, but got a Riptide of his own for his troubles.
- The American Badass Undertaker came to congratulate the new Women’s World Champion.
- Raw GM Adam Pearce was about to get interviewed as Chad Gable asked him to give him a luchador challenge for next week.
- Jackie Redmond interviewed The Miz for insights on John Cena as Karrion Kross came in to ask him if he’s still with him with the Wyatt Sicks feud, which he got goaded into saying yes.
- The Rock was seen shaking hands backstage after his segment and announcing he’ll be at NXT tomorrow on Instagram.
- Travis Scott entered with Jey Uso through the crowd
- A vignette aired of World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
- Gabriel Iglesias got interviewed about his Legend of Fluffy special airing the next day until New Day interrupted him to try to explain their actions, but the interview was out of time.
- Roman Reigns announced he will appear on January 27th, while also implying that he’ll be on the cover of WWE 2k25.
- Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley got interviewed during the break.
- Hulk Hogan came out with Jimmy Hart and a chorus of boos to hold a speech about his beer brand and to hype the move to Netflix up
