WWE SmackDown is one of WWE’s premier weekly shows featuring some of the best WWE Superstars, plus some of the biggest storylines going into the PLE’s and has been running since 1999. The Championships featured the Undisputed WWE Championship, WWE (Men’s) United States, WWE Tag Team, WWE Women’s and the WWE Women’s United States Championships, plus the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from time to time. Although this show originally airs on traditional television (and still does in some markets), live airings moved to Netflix for the majority of the world, hence why we started to cover Raw, SmackDown and NXT from January onwards. Our results are quick and to the point and by no means a comprehensive blow-by-blow account of the given episode. WWE SmackDown Results
Below are the latest WWE SmackDown results for 01/10/25:
- WWE Women’s United States Championship: Chelsea Green (c) defeated Michin by pinfall after a diving crossbody reversal to retain.
- LDF’s Los Garzas defeated Pretty Deadly by pinfall after a double military press driver.
- WWE United States Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs LA Knight fought to a no-contest due to Bloodline attacking Knight. Nakamura retained.
- Motor City Machine Guns defeated A-Town Down by pinfall after a Skull and Bones.
- WWE Women’s Championship #1 contender’s: Bayley defeated Nia Jax and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi by pinfall after a Rose Plant.
- The Bloodline’s Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga defeated Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso by pinfall after a double jump moonsault.
Other notes relevant to WWE SmackDown for 01/10/25:
- This is the first SmackDown episode to (officially) air live on Netflix internationally.
- NXT’s Charlie Dempsey vs Raw’s Chad Gable was filmed for WWE Speed.
- Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are the new commentators.
- Paul Heyman started SmackDown off and invited Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to announce that Roman Reigns is entering himself back into the title picture by entering the Royal Rumble match. Kevin Owens interrupted him, which led to Cody and Owens brawling in the crowd. Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga threatened to attack Heyman, but Jimmy Uso came in to fend the two off and protect the Wise Man. Cody came back to even the odds for Jimmy.
- LA Knight booted Jacob Fatu out of the building backstage when referees didn’t succeed in doing that.
- Michin attempted to attack Chelsea after her title match loss, but instantly got attacked by Piper Niven, allowing Green to leave.
- SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced Los Garzas vs Pretty Deadly and A-Town Down Under vs MCMG for later tonight while all four teams were in the room.
- Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso attacked Tama and Solo again after their attack on LA Knight. Nick Aldis was about to send the latter two home, but Cody challenged them to a tag match later in the show.
- WWE Tag Team Champions DIY promised Pretty Deadly a title shot despite them not helping PD. However, Apollo Crews called PD dumb for believing DIY’s lies.
- Nia Jax and Candice LeRae talked about Tiffany’s celebration backstage.
- The new WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton celebrated her title win last week. Nia interrupted her to ask for her title back or she’ll take it back. Bayley and subsequently the Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi wanted a shot too and the four challengers brawled amongst each other. After Tiffany cleared house, Aldis announced an impromptu fatal-4-way for her next challenger.
- Candice LeRae interfered in the end of the F4W on Nia’s behalf.
- Cody and Jimmy talked backstage, with Carmelo joining in after Cody left to threaten Jimmy, leading to Jimmy rebutting him.
- Byron Saxton announced that Bayley’s challenge will be next week.
- At the end of the main event, Kevin Owens provoked Cody Rhodes to leave the ring and spilled the fight backstage, leaving Jimmy on his own. After the match, the fight spilled from backstage to the technical/crowd area, with Cody putting Kevin through a table to end the show.
