WWE SmackDown is one of WWE’s premier weekly shows featuring some of the best WWE Superstars, plus some of the biggest storylines going into the PLE’s and has been running since 1999. The Championships featured the Undisputed WWE Championship, WWE (Men’s) United States, WWE Tag Team, WWE Women’s and the WWE Women’s United States Championships, plus the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from time to time. Although this show originally airs on traditional television (and still does in some markets), live airings moved to Netflix for the majority of the world, hence why we started to cover Raw, SmackDown and NXT from January onwards. Our results are quick and to the point and by no means a comprehensive blow-by-blow account of the given episode. WWE SmackDown Results
Below are the latest WWE SmackDown results for 02/21/25:
- Jimmy Uso defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall with a reverse Alabama slam reversal roll-up.
- Carmelo Hayes and The Miz defeated LA Knight and R-Truth by pinfall after a Skull Crushing Finale/48 combo.
- WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton defeated Candice LeRae by pinfall after a PME.
- Raw’s Liv Morgan vs WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Naomi didn’t halpen because of Liv and Raquel attacking Bianca and Naomi to the point that officials separated the two.
- WWE Tag Team Championship: DIY (c) vs Pretty Deadly fought to a no-contest due to Street Profits attacking both teams. MCMG came in to fight the Profits but met the same fate.
- Braun Strowman and Damian Priest defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu by pinfall after a South of Heaven.
Other notes relevant to WWE SmackDown for 02/21/25:
- Candice LeRae vs Zoey Stark and Chris Sabin vs Dominik Mysterio got taped for WWE Speed before the show went live.
- The show started with GM Nick Aldis telling Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes that the originally scheduled 6-man tag won’t go ahead because of The Rock. The 6-man became a 2v2 tag, excluding Cody and Tama.
- Drew McIntyre attacked Jimmy Uso after his win, despite being separated by officials later in the brawl.
- Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa almost argued backstage from what happened last week, but let it slide because it was an accident. Fatu then corrected Solo by saying that he’s tagging with him instead of Tama.
- R-Truth told Carmelo Hayes that they will face each other in a tag match, with Miz having made the match with Hayes as his partner.
- US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura attacked LA Knight during the end of the match behind the referee’s back.
- WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton declared her intention to defeat Candice LeRae Nia Jax at the Elimination Chamber tag match and then defeat Charlotte Flair at WM for her spot as the “top girl in the WWE.” Jax and LeRae interrupted the champ and wanted to attack her before the match, but got stopped by the referee.
- Charlotte Flair joined the commentator table during Tiffany’s match.
- Candice and Nia attacked Tiffany after the match until Trish Stratus saved the champion, but received the brunt of the attack for her troubles.
- The Rock made a triumphant return to the ring, announcing WrestleMania’s return to New Orleans on April 11 and 12th 2026, before calling out Cody Rhodes, expressing his desire for Cody to become his champion and to sell his soul to him, leaving Cody’s decision for their next time at the Elimination Chamber PLE.
- Kevin Owens cut a promo in front of Sami Zayn’s house.
- WWE held a post-show press conference featuring The Rock in light of his WrestleMania announcement.
