Although Jake Paul was originally scheduled to face Gervonta “Tank” Davis this past weekend, that event got canceled due to allegations of Davis’ behavior in a civil lawsuit with MVP Promotions promising a new opponent for Jake to face on Netflix later in 2025.
After rumors already pointed out that Anthony Joshua would pick up where Davis left off, Jake Paul and MVP Promotions announced today that he will face Joshua on December 19th with 10 ounce gloves per regulation. The boxing event will stay in the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida and will broadcast at 8 PM EST/1 AM BST worldwide on Netflix.
There’s no word on if the rest of the originally planned card (including Baumgartner vs Beaudoin) will happen on the new date as well. Keep an eye out on the Upcoming Events page to keep yourself posted on any card updates!
As part of the festivities and just as the event is a month, MVP quickly announced that they will hold a press conference this Friday at 1 PM EST/6 PM BST on YouTube to hype the fight on a short notice. There is no press release from MVP at this time, this article can be edited to retroactively add the press release.
