With the WWE Network having left most countries around the world over a year ago and that only increasing as time goes on, one key late bloomer will sunset the streaming service as well.
WWE e-mailed German and Austrian WWE Network subscribers this past weekend to announce that the WWE Network will sunset by April 1st. The e-mail is similar to which other countries had the Network sunset in the past. The 2026 Elimination Chamber event was the last main roster Premium Live Event with NXT Vengeance Day on March 7th being the overall last PLE to air in that country and the first PLE’s on Netflix Germany/Austria being NXT Stand and Deliver (April 4th) and WrestleMania (April 18th/19th).
The release stated that Raw, SmackDown and NXT will move to Netflix as well. As of this writing, ProSiebenMAXX still carries the TV shows and airs the PLE’s on a slight delay on traditional German television with Joyn temporarily having VOD’s up after the tv broadcasts and Bild.de’s subscription service carrying the Raw and SmackDown live broadcasts. German sources say that those broadcasts will remain as is for the time being, with only the PLE’s fully moving over while Netflix might have Raw/SD/NXT episodes a bit later on. This does muddy the situation and availability, but when the situation changes, we will let you know!
