It’s the most wonderful time of the year as WrestleMania did its 42nd edition today! The biggest professional wrestling show of the year has been running since 1985 and still goes stronger than the previous year as one of the biggest spectacles of the year. This day will feature multiple titles on the line such as the World Women’s Championship, Women’s Tag Team Championship and the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, plus feuds getting settled such as Drew McIntyre vs Jacob Fatu and, not to forget, Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton. WWE WrestleMania 42 Saturday Results
Below are the Countdown to WWE WrestleMania 42 Saturday notes and results for 04/18/26:
- Big E, Wade Barrett, Corey Graves and Joe Tessitore hosted the Countdown panel at the start. Shawn Michaels replaced Barrett for the majority of hour 2.
- Cathy Kelley was fine and reported on Liv and Stephanie’s status with Byron.
- Jackie Redmond and Pete Rosenberg reported on the status of Cody and Orton.
- Chuey Martinez interviewed fans at the Superstore.
- Women’s IC Champion AJ Lee got interviewed about the Title’s first defense at WM.
- NXT’s Sol Ruca got interviewed about WM and her match against Zaria at Revenge.
- Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer got interviewed about her title defense.
- A vignette aired chronicling Hulk Hogan’s run at WrestleMania.
- iShowSpeed got interviewed about his match.
- The Miz was about to announce a new series, but got the feed interrupted by Danhausen, with no one knowing Miz’s actual announcement.
- The Las Vegas Mass Choir sang God Bless America before the main show started.

- LA Knight and The Uso’s defeated World Tag Team Champions Austin Theory, Logan Paul and iShowSpeed by pinfall after a BFT.
- Unsanctioned: Jacob Fatu defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall after a double jump moonsault through a table.
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Brie Bella and Paige defeated Bayley/Lyra Valkyria, Alexa Bliss/Charlotte Flair and The Irresistible Forces (c) by pinfall after a Rampage to become the new champions.
- WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch defeated AJ Lee (c) by pinfall after a Manhandle Slam to become the new champion.
- Gunther defeated Seth Rollins by submission with a sleeper hold.
- Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer (c) by pinfall after a diving facebreaker/ObLivion chain to become the new champion.
- Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton by pinfall after a Cross Rhodes to retain.
Below are other relevant notes pertaining to WWE WrestleMania 42 Saturday for 04/18/26:
- This is the first Premium Live Event to air on Netflix in Germany and the first hour (first two matches) of the main show was aired on ESPN2 in the United States.
- John Cena started the show off as host before pyro.
- LA Knight came out in a SUV.
- Logan attacked Speed after the opener and tried to splash him through a table, but got saved by Uso’s/Knight, who gave Logan to Speed to splash through the table.
- Majority of the breakfiller is fragments for the upcoming Hulk Hogan docuseries instead of perpetually showing the “be right back screen”
- Some Samoan dancers entered with Fatu on the stage.
- The Irresistible Forces entered with new graphics and had tribute entrance gear in theme of Demolition.
- Nikki Bella said she couldn’t participate in the Women’s Tag Title match and had Paige return to replace her.
- The Wonder Years performed Becky’s theme live.
- A group of girls accompanied AJ Lee for her entrance.
- Bron Breakker returned during Gunther vs Rollins and speared Rollins to help Gunther win. He did it again after the match.
- The Hall of Fame 2026 Class got a segment on stage, headlined by AJ Styles and Stephanie McMahon.
- Liv entered with a dance crew and her new self-made theme song.
- Raquel and Roxanne interfered during the Women’s World Championship match and helped Liv win.
- John Cena announced the attendance of the night.
- Bianca Belair returned to announce that she’s pregnant.
- A promo of WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia aired, but no concrete event dates were shown.
- Pat McAfee did his own entrance to garner heat.
- Cody had an entrance intro with his old gear.
- Pat did Orton’s introduction and attacked Cody before the match could start. Jelly Roll came to put Pat through a table and get him stretchered out.
- But he eventually came back as backup referee. Orton RKO’d Pat on purpose.
- Orton attacked Rhodes after the match and punt kicked him to end the show.
Below are the WWE WrestleMania 42 Saturday Post-Show notes for 04/18/25:
- Tessitore, Graves, Big E and Rosenberg were the hosts.
- The new Women’s Tag Team Champions Brie Bella/Page, Jacob Fatu, new Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan were guests on the panel but talked about the general aftermath of their matches.
- Paul Heyman also threw in his two cents about Rollins vs Gunther and the opening 6-man tag.
- AJ Lee was interviewed about her loss and her entrance.
- Next to her comments, Liv also danced to her new theme multiple times with Graves.
