NXT returns tonight with its latest Premium Live Event, NXT Great American Bash. The show is headlined by Lola Vice defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Kendal Grey, while the opening contest sees Tony D’Angelo challenge Naraku for the NXT Championship. Other title matches include Myles Borne putting the NXT North American Championship on the line against his former No Quarter Catch Crew teammate Tavion Heights, while Zaria defends the NXT Women’s North American Championship. The card also features Dion Lennox taking on Shaquon Shugars, along with several other high-stakes matches. Making this event even more historic, NXT Great American Bash marks WWE’s first-ever Premium Live Event to air on broadcast television in the United States. - Pete Rosenberg and Megan Morant host the Countdown show from WWE HQ.
- Some CW affiliates simulcasted the Countdown show.
- WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair got interviewed.
- NXT North American Champion Myles Borne had a sit-down interview about his past in NQCC and title defense.
- Tristan Angels had a sit-down interview.
- GM Robert Stone, Kevin Owens and Dave LeGreca were interviewed at the tailgate and watch party about the PLE.

- NXT Championship: Tony D’Angelo (c) defeated Naraku by pinfall after a spinebuster to retain.
- NXT Women’s North American Championship: Zaria (c) defeated Tatum Paxley by pinfall after a F5 to retain.
- Shiloh Hill defeated Tristan Angels by pinfall after a super back suplex neckbreaker.
- WWE Women’s Speed Championship: Wren Sinclair (c) defeated Arianna Grace by submission with a Cattle Mutilation.
- Shaquon Shugars defeated DarkState’s Dion Lennox by pinfall after a imploding frog splash
- NXT North American Championship: Myles Borne (c) defeated Tavion Heights by pinfall after a Borne Again to retain.
- NXT Women’s Championship: Kendal Grey defeated Lola Vice (c) by pinfall after a springboard Shades of Grey to become the new champion
Below are other relevant notes pertaining to NXT Great American Bash 2026 for 06/28/26:
- This is the first NXT PLE to air on CW TV in the United States.
- The Netflix feed showed a few seconds of SmackDown before switching to the live feed.
- The referee almost wanted to stop the NXT Championship match to stop Tony from getting injured further during the match, but Tony stopped him.
- Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey gave each other a pep talk.
- GM Stone gave Jackson Drake a match with Mason Rook and Vanity Project a tag title defense against El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr and Galeno for Tuesday.
- Blake Howard interviewed Owens and LaGreca on the PLE so far. This happened before the main event as well with Hank and Tank as special guests where Keanu Carver threw the tag team off of the stage.
- Tristan went under the ring and got spooked by a phone message before being choked. He did manage to fend Shiloh off and leave the inside of the ring.
- Shiloh had a post-victory interview.
- Nattie congratulated Karmen Petrovic, Layla Diggs and Evolve Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons on joining the Hart Dungeon and announced that Karmen is facing Jaida Parker on Tuesday.
- EK Prosper was announced to challenge for the AAA Latin American Championship this Tuesday.
- Cutler James and Osiris Griffin returned during Shugars/Lennox and attacked Shugars after the match.
- After losing to Zaria, Tatum Paxley admitted she feels empty without the North American Championship before attacking Kelani Jordan after Jordan mocked her for never getting an NXT Women’s Title opportunity.
- Borne said in the post-match interview that he plans to be NA Champion for a long time.
