NXT returned with its latest Premium Live Event, NXT Heatwave. The show is headlined by Tony D’Angelo defending the NXT Championship against Zilla Fatu, Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana. Other title matches include Myles Borne pulling double duty by putting the NXT North American Championship on the line against Jackson Drake and defending the Tag Titles with Tavion Heights against Vanity Project, while Zaria defends the NXT Women’s North American Championship and unifies it with the WWE Women’s Speed Championship by facing Wren Sinclair and Kali Armstrong. - NXT Women’s North American/Women’s Speed Championship Unification: Zaria (NA) defeated Wren Sinclair (Speed) and Kali Armstron by pinfall after an F5 to unify the titles.
- NXT Tag Team Championship: Vanity Project defeated NXT North American Champion Myles Borne and Tavion Heights (c) by pinfall after a Hit It and Quit It to become the new champions.
- Submission: Jaida Parker defeated Nattie with a Sharpshooter.
- NXT Women’s Championship: Kelani Jordan defeated Kendal Grey (c) by pinfall after a split-legged moonsault to become the new champion.
- NXT North American Championship: Jackson Drake defeated Myles Borne (c) by pinfall after a 450 splash to become the new champion.
- NXT Championship: Grayson Waller defeated Cruz Montana, Tony D’Angelo (c) and Zilla Fatu by pinfall after a Spin The Block to become the new champion

- This is the first NXT PLE to air on ESPN Unlimited in the United States as part of a deal between CW and ESPN.
- With Zaria winning the unification match, the WWE Women’s Speed Championship has been retired with Wren Sinclair as its last champion.
- Cruz Montana got interviewed about his title match.
- After the tag title match, a breakup between Tavion and Myles was teased.
- Los Perros Del Mal ordered Karmen to leave Nattie.
- Nikkita Lyons attacked Jaida and then got fended off by Thea Hail.
- Wren got consoled by Kendal about her loss.
- GM Robert Stone announced NXT Halloween Havoc for October 31st.
- Myles and Tavion had a talk about Myles’ NA Title defense.
- Myles attacked Tavion after losing the NA Championship. Tavion did attempt to fend off Vanity Project from Myles during the NA Title defense, but it still appeared to not be enough.
- Evolve Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons vs Thea Hail and Dar/Moreno vs Legacy/Van Dux got newly announced for NXT.
